John J. Seitz
ST. MARYS — John J. Seitz, 88. St. Marys, formerly of Delia, died Saturday, March 16, 1991, at a Topeka hospital.

Mr. Seitz was a farmer before he retired.

He was born Sept. 15, 1902, in St. Marys, the son of John and Mary Kramer Seitz.

Mr. Seitz was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Lions Club, both in Delia.

He was married to Alice Marie Cerny April 19, 1928, in Delia. She died Aug. 30, 1969.

Survivors include two sons, Don Seitz and Jack Seitz, both of Topeka; two brothers, Clarence Seitz, Brooks, Alberta, Canada, and William Seitz, St. Marys; three sisters, Tillie McNeive, St. Marys, Regina Chesney, Albuquerque, N.M., and Loretta Doll, Topeka; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in St. Marys. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Mr. Seitz will lie in state after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred, Heart Catholic Church in Delia.
