Mrs. Simecka
dies at age of 96
Mrs. Henrietta "Nettie" Simecka, 96, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, in a St Marys nursing home.

She was born May 20, 1875, at Humboldt, Nebraska. She was married to John S. Simecka in 1899 in Pawnee City, Neb.; he preceded her in death in 1937. Mrs. Simecka lived in Delia, where she was a member of the Presbyterian Church, until 1960 when she moved to St Marys.

Survivors include six sons: Stephen Simecka, Topeka; William B. Simecka Sr., Frank J. Simecka, and John E. Simecka, all of St Marys; Robert Simecka, and James Simecka, both of Delia; two daughters: Mrs. Dora Immenschuh, Rossville; Mrs. Grace Horack, Bakersfield, California. She also leaves 32 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Services were held Saturday from the Delia Presbyterian Church, with interment in the Rossville Cemetery by the Verschelden Funeral Home.

The pallbearers, all grandsons were: Dick Simecka, Marvin Immenschuh, James L. Simecka, John R. Simecka, Ronald Simecka, and Delbert Simecka.

ST. MARYS - Mrs. Henrietta "Nettie" Simecka, 96, St. Marys, died Tuesday in a local
nursing home.

She was born May 20, 1875, at Humboldt, Neb. She was married to John S. Simecka in 1899 in Pawnee City, Neb. He died in 1937. She lived in Delia until 1960 when she moved to St. Marys.
Mrs. Simecka was a member of the Delia Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include six sons, Stephen Simecka, 828 Buchanan, Topeka, William B. Simecka, Frank J. Simecka, and John L. Simecka, all of St. Marys, Robert Simecka and James Simecka, both of Della; two daughters, Mrs. Dora Immenschuh, Rossville, and Mrs. Grace Horack, Bakersfield, Calif.; 32 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Delia Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Delia Presbyterian Church.
Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys, is in charge of arrangements.
