Obituary- Simecka, Margaret
Mrs. Margaret C. Simecka
Mrs. Margaret Catherine Simecka, 82, Topeka, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1989, at a Topeka hospital.
She was born Feb. 3, 1906, in Delia, the daughter of Patrick and Hanora Guinee Halloran. She lived in Delia until 1925 when she moved to Topeka. She was graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in St. Marys.
Mrs. Simecka was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and the Altar Guild at the church and an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary.
She was married to Stephen B. Simecka June 30, 1932, in Topeka. He died Dec. 4, 1981.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy M. Peyton, Houston, Texas, and Patricia Kay Simecka, at home; a son, Ron S. Simecka, Topeka; four grandchildren and four great-grand-children.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Calvary Cemetery at St. Marys. Mrs. Simecka will lie in state from 2 until 9 p.m. today at Brennan Funeral Home where a parish prayer service will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Name Catholic Church, 1114 W. 10th, 66604.
