Mary Simecka Dies
Services were at 9:30 a. m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Delia for Mrs. Mary Simecka, 83, of Delia, who died Monday in a Topeka nursing home after a long illness.

She was born Feb. 8, 1883 at Everest in Brown County and spent most of her life in the Delia community. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Delia and the Altar Society of the church and Royal Neighbors of America.

She was married to Joseph Simecka in 1904 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Chirch in St. Marys. He died in 1961.

Survivors include four sons, Leo Simecka, Topeka,
Raphael Simecka, Escondido, Calif., Arthur Simecka, Woody Creek, Colo., and Ben Simecka, Delia; four daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Thompson, Delia,

Mrs. Loretta Dodd, Ottawa, Mrs. Josephine Constant, Route 2, Topeka, and Mrs. Leona Paulini, Mobile, Ala.; 28 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery at St. Marys. Rosary was recited at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Pallbearers were Norman Simecka, Gerald Simecka, Marlin Constant, Joseph Constant, Marvin Thompson, and Nels Thompson.
