Obituary- Simecka, Ronald
Ronald S. Simecka
Ronald S. Simecka, 58, Topeka, died Thursday, June 24, 1999, of an apparent heart attack white returning to Topeka.
He was born February 3,1941, in Topeka, the son of Stephen and Catherine Halloran Simecka. He was a 1959 graduate of Hayden High School.
After graduation be served in the United States Army for two years and later with the Kansas National Guard. He later worked as produce manager for Sutton Grocery and was an insurance agent for Clennan and Martel.
Mr. Simecka was a long time antique dealer in Topeka, owning Reflections Antiques, and was a partner with Carole Ruse in Washburn View Antique Mall. He was past president of the Topeka Antique Dealers Association and was chairman for many years of the Antique Dealers involvement in the Go Fourth Celebration held each year at Washburn University.
He married Karen Bowman in
Prairie Village August 5, 1970. They were divorced.
Survivors include two sisters, Marquita M. “Peggy” Peyton and Patricia Kay Simecka, both of Topeka.
Mass of Christian Burial was Monday at Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys.
