Obituary- St. Auben, Louis

TRACTOR ACCIDENT
Louis St. Aubin 65, of St. Marys was employed on the Mulvane ranch and while helping Tuesday to fill a silo was seriously injured.

He was driving a tractor packing a trench silo when the accident occurred. He was pinned under the machine when it overturned on him. One ear and one thumb were nearly severed; He was rushed to St. Francis hospital for treatment. It has not been learned just how serious his condition is.
LOUIS ST. AUBEN
Louis St. Auben, a 55-year resident of St. Marys, died at the age 65 in St. Francis, hospital, Topeka, Oct 7, the victim of a tractor accident on the Mulvane ranch in Sandy Hook, southeast of town. The tractor he was driving Sept. 26 overturned, pinning him beneath.

The funeral was held here Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church Interment was in Valley View cemetery. Rev C. S. Wogan, pastor officiated.

The pallbearers were Alien Engler, operator of the Mulvane ranch Francis Davis foreman; Wayne Salisbury, Phil Meyer, Henry DeWendt and Leo Martell.

Lou St. Auben was born in Clyde, Kansas, Aug. 15, 1885, the son of Max St. Auben and Madelene Bashow, natives of France. In his lifetime he was a farmer, teamster and railroad employee, living in recent years on Palmer street.

He was married to Nellie Blanka at Manhattan on August 23, 1930.

He leaves his widow on; daughter, Mrs. Marcella Hay of Long Beach, California; one son. James St. Auben of Topeka; a grandson, a great grand son, and a sister, Mrs. Minnie McConnell at Topeka.—St. Marys Star.
