Eugenia H. Startup
Eugenia Hazel Startup, 82, Oroville, WA, died Tuesday, October 26, 1999, in Washington state.
She was born February 18, 1917, at Delia, the daughter of Frank and Anna Fleming.
She married Averill Startup September 30,1935. He survives.
The couple moved from Kansas to the Roaring Fork Valley, Washington, in 1939, and lived in Carbondale, Aspen and Glenwood Springs, CO, for many years before moving to Oroville, WA last spring.
In addition to her husband, Eugenia is survived by a daughter, Jeaneen Thompson, Williams Lake, British Columbia; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Agnes Crawshaw, Silver Lake; and Melva Marney, New Castle, WA; a brother, Frank Fleming, Elmont; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Florine Perry, St. Marys.
Mrs. Startup was cremated. Her ashes were taken to Canada and spread on the meadow the couple had bought for a homestead.
A memorial service will be held December 12 in the Rossville Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. for family and friends.

ROSSVILLE — Memorial services for Eugenia Hazel Startup, 82, Oroville, Wash., will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 12,1999, at the Rossville Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Startup died Oct. 26, 1999, in Washington State. She was cremated and her ashes were taken to Canada to be spread over a meadow. She and her husband moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in Washington in 1939 and lived in several other places, including Carbondale, Aspen, Colo., and Glenwood Springs, Colo., before moving to Oroville, Wash., earlier this year.
She was born Feb. 18,1917, in Delia, the daughter of Frank and Anna Fleming.
Mrs. Startup was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Eastern Star.
She married Averill Startup on Sept. 30,
1935. He survives.
