Obituary- Stattelman, Mary
Death comes suddenly to mother
Mrs. Mary Jo Stattelman, 32, died unexpectedly early Tuesday morning at her home here.
She was found by her husband who was awakened by the crying of their infant daughter, born about two weeks ago.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, with interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery by the Verschelden Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
Mrs. Stattelman was born July 10, 1934, in St. Marys and was graduated from St. Marys High School. She was married to Robert Stattelman, Nov. 25, 1953, at the Immaculate Conception Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Robert, and three daughters: Vickie, Margaret Ann, and Barbara Jo, all of the home; her father: William Bond, Alma; a brother: William Bond Jr., Tulsa, Okla.; and a sister: Mrs. Amelia Flanagan, Emmett.
St. Marys Woman’s Cause of Death Told
ST. MARYS – Mrs. Mary Jo Stattelman, 32, who died Dec. 6 at her home here, died of a massive pulmonary embolism, a physician reported Monday. He said Mrs. Stattelman had a blood clot in her lung.
Relatives of Mrs. Stattelman had said she hadn’t been ill. An autopsy was performed later Dec. 6, but results weren’t immediately available until microscopic studies were completed.
