Ura Louis Collins Steele
ROSSVILLE — Ura Louis Collins Steele, 96, Rossville, died Monday, Feb. 24, 1997, at a Rossville nursing home.

She was born May 25, 1900, in Russell County, the daughter of Franklin Ithaymer and Carmel Nutt Russum. She moved to Rossville from Quenemo 10 years ago.

Mrs. Steele was a member of Quenemo United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women at the church.

She married Wallace Collins on Aug. 22, 1917, in Russell. He died Sept. 4, 1966. She married Harry Steele on July 7, 1967, in Quenemo. He died July 18, 1980. Mrs. Steele also was preceded in. death by a son, Rex Collins, an infant daughter, Doris Faye Collins, another daughter, Joyce Mullef, a grandchild, and a great-grandchild.

Survivors include three sons, Scott Collins and Russell Collins, both of Topeka, and Darrell Collins, Arkansas City; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat grandchildren; and two great-great-grand-children.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at (Woodlawn Cemetery in Pomona. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Valley Manor and sent in care pf Feltner Funeral Home in Lyndon.
