Obituary- Steelman, John

John Allen Steelman
John Allen Steelman, 33, 826 Warren, died Tuesday at a local hospital. He had cancer.

He was born June 30, 1949 at Emporia, the son of Shirley Lee and Gladys M. Duncan Steelman. He lived in Topeka most of his life.

Mr. Steelman was self-employed as a management consultant.

He was a member of the First Church of God, Emporia, and Jimmie Lillard American Legion Post 31, and was in the U.S. Army from 1966-69.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Gladys Muller, Delia; two sisters, Peggy Steelman, Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Leslie Allen, Topeka.

Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Brennan’s Funeral Home. Internment is pending. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 3003 Van Buren, Topeka, 66611.
