Florence Stevens

Winchester - Florence Victoria Stevens, 89, formerly of Topeka, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, at a Winchester nursing home.

Mrs. Stevens was an IBM operator for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas in Topeka for many years. She also had taught school in a one-room school near the Shawnee County-Wabaunsee County line many years ago. She and her husband also farmed.

She was born Feb. 12, 1912, in Topeka, the daughter of Gustav "Lee" and Anna Olsen Malm. She graduated from Rossville High School. She moved to Winchester from Oskaloosa in 1997.

She married Harold Stevens on May 31, 1932, in Topeka. He died April 5, 1993.
