Obituary- Strimple, Jacqueline 2

Jacqueline J. Strimple
Jacqueline J. “Jackie” Strimple, 71, Rossville, died Sunday, January 11, 2004, at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

She was born October 7, 1932, in Rossville, the daughter of Henry and Vivian Divine Lloyd, and had lived in the Rossville community all of her life.

She attended Rossville schools. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church, and she was a member of the Auxiliary of Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion at Rossville.

On June 10, 1950, she married Orville Strimple in Rossville. He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Jan Dannefer and Gay Nadeau, both of Rossville; a brother, Jim Turner, Scottsdale, AZ; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant grandson on May 8,1974, and by another grandson, Jordan David Nadeau, on March 1, 2001.

Her service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys 66536. Burial will be in the Rossville Cemetery.

She will lie in state from 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday (this afternoon) at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and family from 6:30 until 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Auxiliary of Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion, or to the Rossville Community Swimming Pool Fund and sent in care of the funeral home, 714 Maple, St. Marys 66536.
