Obituary- Strimple, Orville E.

Orville Strimple Dies of Heart Attack on Topeka Street
Services were held Friday for Orville E, Strimple, 59, of Topeka, who was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital Tuesday after suffering a heart attack at a drug store in downtown Topeka.

He was born Jan. 12, 1906 at Neal in Greenwood County and spent his early life in Rossville. He was graduated from Washburn University in 1934. He taught at East Indianola trade School from 1935 until 1952 except during World War II when he served in the U. S. Army.

He was on the engineering staff at WIBE-TVfrom 1951 to 1959 and since had been an account salesman for WIBW-TV.

He was a member of Seaman Congregational Church, Professional Advertising Club and the Kaw Valley Radio Club.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Strimple, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Sheldon Brown, San Antonio, Tex., Mrs. Myron Williams, Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Joseph Thornwall, Lanham, Md.; four sisters, Mrs. George DeGraff, and Mrs. Frances Minnie Stockton, Topeka, and Mrs. Buell Burton, Bolivar, Mo., and Mrs. Leo DeGraff, Dallas, Ore.; and eight grandchildren.

Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Seaman Congregational Church building fund.
