Obituary- Sturgill, George

George E. Sturgill
MAYETTA — George E. Sturgill, 75, Route 2, Mayetta, was found dead Thursday morning at his home, where he lived alone. A coroner’s report indicated he died of natural causes.

He was born Aug. 1, 1901, in Grandview, Mo. He lived five years in Soldier before he moved to the Mayetta community 14 years ago.

He was a farmer before he retired.

He was married to Daisy M. Tally in 1928 in Olathe. She died June 8,1973.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton. Burial will be in Delia Cemetery, Delia.
