Obituary- Sumner, Cleve

Cleve Sumner of Delia dies
Cleve N. Sumner, 52, Delia, died Wednesday in a Topeka hospital were he had been a patient 13 days.

Born May 19, 1911 near Emmett, he lived most of I his life in the Mayetta and Delia communities. He was a farmer.

Mr. Sumner was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Delia.

Survivors include his widow, Josephine, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Maxine Catron, Delia, Mrs. Delores Salisbury, St. Marys, Mrs. Janice Jacobson, Rossville, and Miss Helen Sumner, Lawrence; a son, Lester Sumner, 1319 N. Harrison in Topeka; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sur Mayetta; a sister, Mrs. Chester Lutz, Delia; and eight brothers, John Cheyenne, Wyo., Melvin, Herford, Tex., Everett and Robert Sumner both of Delia, Raymond, serving with the U. S. Army in Okinawa, Donald, 1838 Meadow Lane, and Dale 822 E. 33rd both in Topeka and William Sumner, Manhattan.

Service were at 10 a.m. Friday in the Sacred Heart, Church, Delia, with burial in the Catholic Cemetery, St. Marys.

CARD OF THANKS - The kindness and sympathy of neighbors and friends in our recent sorrow will always remain with us as a precious memory. Our sincere thanks and gratitude for all those comforting acts.
