Obituary- Bridgford, Belle
Mrs. Belle Bridgford, 90 years and 11 months, long time resident of Kansas, died Tuesday Morning, March 1, 1955 at a Topeka Hospital.
She was born at Londonville, Ohio, March 30, 1864 and moved to Rossville with her mother, Mrs. Suzanne Andrews and five other sisters and brothers in 1879. In 1882, she was married to Harmon G. Wagner of Maple Hill where they lived until his death in 1884. Two daughters were born to this union, both of whom survive, Nellie J. Wagner of the home and Sarah Jane (Jennie) Griffin, Mountain View, Calif.
In 1892, she was married to Frank W. Bridgford of Silver Lake, who preceded her in death in 1925. A son was born to this union, J. Frank Bridgford of Silver Lake, who survives.
In 1901, they moved into the Silver Lake community where she has since made her home.
She also leaves two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was the last surviving member of Andrews family of twelve children. She was a member of the Silver Lake Baptist church. The Royal Neighbor and had received the fifty-year membership pin for her affiliation with Loyal Chapter, 176, Order of the Eastern Star.
