Obituary- Thomas, Mary 1

SM native dies while
visiting here
Mrs. Mary Thomas of Stockton who has been visiting with her brother, John Pearl in St. Marys, and with her sister, Miss Rose Pearl, Topeka, the past few weeks, died about two hours after arrival at a Topeka hospital Friday.

Mrs. Thomas suffered a heart attack while visiting with relatives here.

She was born May 30, 1894, at St. Marys where she spent her early life. She lived east of Woodston in Rooks County from 1917 until 1959, when she moved into Stockton. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church at Stockton and the Altar Society of the church.

She was married to George Thomas in 1917, who preceded her in death, February of 1959.

Survivors include a son: Phillip Thomas, rural Woodston; a step-son, George Leo Thomas, of Seattle, Wash.; a sister: Miss Rose Pearl, Topeka; two brothers: John Pearl of St. Marys, and James Pearl of Greenville, Mich.; and a grandson, John Thomas, of Manhattan.

Services were held Monday from St. Thomas Church, Stockton, with interment made at Osborne.
