Donald R. Thompson
Donald R. Thompson, 40, Delia, died Thursday, July 19, 1989, at a Kansas City, Ks., medical center of complications from a bone marrow transplant. He had cancer.

Mr. Thompson was a nursing assistant at Colmery-O'Neil Medical Center in Topeka. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, having served from 1968 to 1974.

He was born October 24,1948, in Topeka, the son of Christopher Donald "Don" and Vena M. Countryman Thompson. He lived most of his life in Delia.

Mr. Thompson was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Delia.

Survivors include a son, Brian Thompson, at home; his mother, Mrs. Vena Thompson, Delia; a sister, Janet Mulanax, Topeka; a grandmother, Mrs. Maude Thompson, Rossville; two nephews and one niece.

Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Presbyterian Church in Delia. Burial with a flag folding ceremony conducted by Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion of Ross-ville was in Adrian Cemetery northwest of Delia. Casket bearers were Matthew Foster, Kenneth Yocum, Gary Yocum, Steven Barrett, Wayne Davis, Michael Munro, and William Mitchell.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
