Obituary- Thompson, Sofia

PIONEER LADY DIES
Mrs. Sofia Olson was born in Sogendal, Norway, June 16, 1846, and departed this life, Saturday, Dec. 17, 1932, at the home of her stepson. Nels Thompson, near Delia, following a stroke of paralysis. She was 86 years, 6 months and 1 day old.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church and was a consistent member of that denomination all her life.

She came to American in 1866 and settled in Brown county, Kansas. In 1882 she was united in marriage to the late Sivert Thompson who departed this life four years ago.

She leaves to mourn her loss one sister, in Norway; one step-daughter, and three step-sons and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Nels Thompson home and in the Adrian church Sunday, December 18 conducted by the Rev. Bruce Davis. Interment was in the Adrian cemetery.
