Delia Boy, 12, Drowns in Pond
A 12-year-old Delia boy was drowned Sunday afternoon while wading in a farm pond near his home. The victim was Michael Jerome Brock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin J. Brock of Delia. He was born Nov. 21, 1944, and was to have started the eighth grade at Delia School next fall. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church at Delia.
Besides his parents, he is survived by four brothers, Timothy, Daniel, David and Gregory Brock, all of the home; five sisters, Kathleen, Coleen, Barbara, Sheila and Deborah Brock, of the home; and his grandparents, Mrs. Margaret Brock, Delia, and Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Huber, Powhattan. The Rosary was recited Monday night at the Verschelden Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Church at Delia with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery at St. Marys.
