Obituary- Trahoon, Thresa
Mrs. Thresa Trahoon
ROSSVILLE - Mrs. Thresa C. Trahoon, 79, Rossville, died late Tuesday at a Topeka hospital.
She was born Aug. 14, 1902, at St. Marys, the daughter of Andrew G. and Minnie R. St. Aubin McConnell. She lived in Rossville since she was eight years old.
Mrs. Trahoon was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Rossville.
She married Louis L. Trahoon Jan. 3, 1921, at Assumption Catholic Church, Topeka. He died Sept. 20,1979.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Helen Matney, 834 N.W. 39th, Topeka, and Mrs. Shirley Tregemba, Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, Floyd Trahoon, 3819 Munson, and Rolland Trahoon, Route 8, both of Topeka; three sisters, Mrs. Doris Kietzman, 2728 Colorado, and Mrs. Lucille Hyde, 846 N. Van Buren, both of Topeka, and Mrs. Genevieve Carney, Cleveland, Ohio; a brother, Andrew “Pete” McConnell, 225 Storey, Topeka; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Trahoon will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
