Obituary- Trubey, Martha

Martha Mae Trubey
ROSSVILLE – Martha Mae Trubey, 85, Rossville, died Wednesday, June 3, 1992, at a Rossville nursing home.

Mrs. Trubey and her husband farmed in the Rossville community.

She was born Nov. 15, 1906, in Oklahoma Territory, the daughter of Charles Edwin and Harriet Troutman Strahan. She grew up in McPherson, and after she was married she lived in Lindsborg until 1932, when she moved to Rossville.

Mrs. Trubey was a member of the Christian Church in Rossville.

She was married to Walter Trubey on June 14, 1927, in Salina. He died July 24, 1966.

Survivors include four daughters, Betty Escritt, Proctor, Mont., Evelyn Ratliff, Livonia, Mich., Rosella Feltner, Maple Hill, and Marilyn Trubey, Topeka; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Christian Church in Rossville. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Trubey will lie in state after 4 p.m. today at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys and an hour before service time Saturday at the church. Family and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Church in Rossville.
