Obituary- Van Vleck, Arthur

Arthur Van Vleck dies at age 80
Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Parker Mortuary in Topeka for Arthur I. Van Vleck, 80, who died Monday at his home, 188 Holman, Topeka.
He was a former oper¬ator of Topeka streetcars, retiring when buses re¬placed the older vehicles.
Born near Rossville Aug. 26, 1881, Mr. Van Vleck lived in Topeka since 1918. He was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Irving at home, and Homer of Prairie Village; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel O. McGrew and Mrs. Helen L. Murphy, Topeka; three brothers, Clarence of Top¬eka, Harry of Kansas City, Kansas, and Mahlin of Kan¬sas City, Mo., and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Rossville Cemetery, with the Parker Mortuary in charge.
