Obituary- Van Vleck, Clarence

CLARENCE E. VAN VLECK
Clarence E. Van Vleck, 95, Topeka, died Wednesday, August 15, 1979, at his home after a short illness.
He was born November 5, 1883, near Rossville, the son of Frank and Olivia Van Vleck.
Mr. Van Vleck retired in 1949, after 43 years service as a signalman for the Union Pacific Railroad.
He was a 60-year member of Ohio Lodge 132 of the International Order of Odd Fellows, Silver Lake.
He was married to Mattie Glidwell in 1913. She died in 1946.
Survivors include a son, Glenn Van Vleck, and a brother, Harry Van Vleck, Kansas City, Ks.
Services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka. Burial was in Rochester Cemetery.
