Dennis P. VandeVelde
Dennis Paul VandeVelde, 34, Rossville, died Sunday, February 27, 2000, at the home of his brother in Red Oak, TX, after an extended illness.
Dennis was born in Kansas City, KS February 21, 1966, the son of Raymond Charles and Bonnie Ruth Martin VandeVelde.
He was reared in Kansas City and was a 1984 graduate of the Saviour of the World Seminary. He Attended Conception Seminary. In 1991, he graduated from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science.
Dennis was a funeral director for Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego, CA. He was a member of the California Funeral Directors Association.
Dennis was a member of St.
Stanislaus Catholic Church at Rossville.
Surviving him are his mother, Bonnie Ruth VandeVelde, Rossville; three brothers, Donnie Vande Velde, Raymore, MO, Marvin Vande Velde, Red Oak, TX, and Timothy Vande Velde, Shawnee; four sisters, Kathleen Strohl, Chula Vista, CA, Mary Snyder, St. Marys, Bernadette Black, Shawnee Mission, and Dianne Vande Velde, Rossville; six nephews and four nieces.
A Parish Rosary was recited at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Brennan- Mathena Funeral Home in Topeka. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Rossville. Interment followed in the Rossville Cemetery.
