Obituary- Viergever, Doris 1

Doris Marie Viergever
WILLARD — Doris Marie Viergever, 65, Willard, died Saturday, May 29, 1999, at a Topeka hospital.

She was born Sept. 25,1933, in Topeka, the daughter of William H. and Ruth Jacobson Myers. She graduated from Topeka High School. She moved to Willard 47 years ago.

Mrs. Viergever served on the election board at Willard. She was a member of the Rossville Christian Church, Red Dale Schooners Camping Club and the National Campers and Hikers Association.

She married Robert W. Viergever on March 28,1952, in Topeka. He survives.

Other survivors include a son, Jay W. Viergever, Dover; two daughters, Jan Marie Dolezilek, Dover, and Joy Lynn Davis, Rossville; her mother and stepfather, Ruth Myers and Daymond Owens, Topeka; a brother, William A. Myers, Willard; two sisters, JoAnn Bulger, Overland Park, and Shirley Blake, in Florida; six grandchildren; and one stepgreat-granddaughter.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial will be in the Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Viergever will lie in state after noon Monday at the mortuary, where relatives and friends will meet from 4 to 5 p.m.
