C. Jean Brown

C. Jean Brown, 76, died Friday, Aug. 23, 1996 at a Topeka Hospital.
Mrs. Brown was a manager at One Hour Martinizing Dry Cleaners until she retired in 1985.
She was Born Aug. 4, 1920, at Louisburg, the daughter of Joseph J. and Lula May Weeks Meyers.
She married Ralph L. Brown on Aug. 21, 1940, at Lyndon. He died in 1987.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Grooms, Chula Vista, Calif., and Sandra Boyd, Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Larry Brown and Randy Brown, both of Topeka; three sisters, Vivian Wymore and Anna Swanger, both of Topeka, and Mildred McMichael, Homer, Alaska; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery at Rossville. Mrs. Brown will lie in state after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home where the relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m.
