Obituary- Viergever, Walter 2

Walter Allen Viergever
Walter Allen Viergever, 90, Valencia, passed away July 8,2011, at his home. He was born April 22, 1921, at Valencia, the youngest of seven children born to Daniel and Anna (Rotman) Viergever. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and three brothers.

Walter graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1939. Walter was a farmer all his life and raised Angus cattle.

He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed his dogs. He was born and lived at the same location until he married.

Walter married Jean Ekart Jeffries on Aug. 10, 1994, at Miami, Okla. She survives of the home. He is also survived by one stepdaughter, Betty Badura and husband Henry of Rossville; two stepgrandchildren, Bill Badura and Suzette Smith; five step-great-grandchildren; one step- great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were July 12 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, Topeka. Interment followed in Dover Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
