Obituary- Vorhies, Elton and Vorhies, Ray

Elton Vorhies
Rossville - Elton Vorhies, 89, of Rossville, a retired farmer, died Sunday.

Born April 14, 1872, in Shannon City, Iowa, he moved to the Rossville community in 1915. He was a member of the Rossville Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Howard of 1229 Plass and Ray of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Weybright of Culver City, Calif., five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Hurley Funeral Home of Rossville will announce arrangements.

Ray Vorhies
Mr. Ray Vorhies of Long Beach, California passed away New Years Day at his home in California. He was 83 years of age.

Mr. Vorhies is a brother of Elton Vorhies of Rossville and also an uncle of Mrs. Beulah McIntyre. At one time Ray and Elton operated a cafe in Rossville.
