Obituary- Weeks, Anna

Anna E. Weeks
Anna E. Holben was born in Skaneateles, New York, December 8, 1862, and lived there until her marriage to Lewis Weeks of St. Marys, Kansas, January 16, 1898.

She united with the First Baptist Church of Skaneateles. After coming to Kansas she transferred her membership to the Congregational church at St. Marys, of which she still was a member. She was also a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She passed away Sunday, January 22, at 12:35 a.m., at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Weeks, with whom she made her home in Rossville.

The survivors are a brother, Joseph Holben of Skaneateles, N.Y.; three step-children, Frank Weeks of Belvue Kans., Mrs. Jake Simon of Topeka, and Seth Weeks, of Rossville; Seven nephews, nieces and grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Lee Raines, Maple Hill; Carl Bloomfield, Paxico; Merle Gideon and Frank Hromada, Delia; Harold Cox, Pauline, and W. E. Keyser of St. Marys.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Don L. Jones, pastor of the Rossville Methodist Church, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary in Topeka. Artha Chapter of the OES had charge of the graveside service in Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka.
