Kelly Pearl Wehrli
ROSSVILLE - Kelly Pearl Wehrli, 15, Rossville, died late Friday, Oct. 25, at the scene of a one-vehicle accident on Hodges Road just east of Silver Lake and about eight miles west of Topeka.

Shawnee County Sheriff’s Depart-ment said the vehicle in which Miss Wehrli was a passenger was southbound on Hodges Road went off the road and overturned.

Miss Wehrli was a sophomore at Rossville High School where she was a member of Future Homemakers of America, the yearbook staff and basketball and volley ball teams.

She was born July 4, 1970, at Topeka, the daughter of Fred W. and Scherry Brucker Wehrli, and lived all her life in Rossville.

Miss Wehrli was a member of the United Methodist Church. Jimmy Lillard Unit No. 31 of the American Legion Auxiliary, Students Against Drunk Driving and was chairperson for the Cystic Fibrosis Marathon Fund Drive of the high school, all in Rossville.

A sister, Kimberly Wehrli, died in September 1980.

Survivors include her parents, Fred and Scherry Wehrli, Rossville; a brother, James L. Wehrli, a student at Emporia State University; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harley W. Brucker, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd H. Wehrli, Holiday, Mo., and Mr. and Mrs. Paul E. Linton, Hebron, Neb.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Rossville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Miss Wehrli will lie in state from 4 p.m. today until 11 a.m. Monday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka and from 1 until 3 p.m. Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Rossville High School, Rossville, 66533.
