Obituary- Brown, Ralph

Ralph L. Brown

ROSSVILLE -- Ralph L. Brown, 80, Rossville, died late Thursday, Jan. 29, 1987, at a Topeka hospital.

Mr. Brown was retired from Hankamer Co. in Topeka where he was a heavy equipment operator.

He was born Sept. 6, 1906, in Olivet, a son of Harry and Myrtle Brown. He lived here the past 30 years.

Mr. Brown was a member of Operating Engineers Local Union No. 101 in Topeka.

He was married to Jean Myers on Aug. 21, 1940, in Lyndon. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Janice Grooms, Chula Vista, Calif., and Mrs. Sandy Boyd, Fort Worth, Texas, two sons, Larry Brown, Topeka, and Randy Brown of the home, two sisters, Mrs. Lula Likes and Edna Brown, both of Emporia; a brother, Buford Brown, Hartford; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.




RALPH L. BROWN

Ralph L. Brown, 80, Rossville, died late Thursday, January 29, 1987, at a Topeka hospital.

Worth, Tx.; two sons, Larry Brown, Topeka, and Randy Brown, of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Lula Likes, and Edna Brown, both of Emporia; a brother, Buford Brown, Hartford; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family met with friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Verschelden Funeral Home. Services were Monday at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery. Casket bearers were George McWilliams, Dennis Kidwell, Hugh Fairbanks, Donald Bixby, Don Stockman and Clinton Kerwin. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
