Walter White
Walter White, 86, Rossville, died Monday, September 28,1998, at Rossville Valley Manor,
Mr. White was a Southern Baptist minister from 1940 until he retired in 1975. He had served in the Kansas City area and throughout Missouri.
He was born November 24, 1911, at Seneca, the son of William Joseph White and Hulda Ellen Haxton White. He attended Axtell schools and earned a liberal arts degree at Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary.
Mr. White was a member of the Ministerial Association of North Kansas City.
He was married to Thelma Neal September 6,1934, at Kansas City, MO. She died February 21,1988.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Louise Boling, Austin, TX; a brother, Melvin White, Salina; a sister, Dorothy Thomas, Topeka; three grandsons; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
His service was Thursday at the Vermillion United Methodist Church, Vermillion. Burial was in Vermillion Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Valley Manor, Rossville, and sent in care of the Hayes-Popkess Funeral Home, Centralia.

Mr. White was a Southern Baptist minister from 1940 until he retired in 1975. He had served in the Kansas City area and throughout Missouri.
He was born Nov. 24, 1911, at Seneca, the son-of William Joseph White and Hulda Ellen Haxton White. He attended Axtell schools and he earned a liberal arts degree at Southwest Baptist Seminary. He also attended William and Jewell College and he earned a master's degree at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Mr. White was a member of the Ministerial Association of North Kansas City.
He was married to Thelma Neal on Sept. 6,1934, at Kansas City, Mo. She died Feb, 21, 1988.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Louise Boling, Austin, Texas; a brother, Melvin White, Salina; a sister, Dorothy Thomas, Topeka; three grandsons; five great-grandchildren; and three great- great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday at the Vermillion United Methodist Church in Vermillion. Burial will be at the Vermillion Cemetery.
