Obituary- Wilson, Ruth

Betty Wilson Cottle Ruth V. Wilson
Graveside services will be Wednesday in Beloit and Rossville in Kansas for Betty Wilson Cottle, 69, North Richland Hills, Texas, and her mother, Ruth Vermillion Wilson, 92, Tulsa, Okla., who were killed Friday, July 3,1998, in a collision on Interstate 35 near Pauls Valley, Okla.

Authorities said Mrs. Cottle was driving her- mother to Texas where Mrs. Wilson planned to enter an assisted-living facility near Mrs. Cottle's home in the Fort Worth area. An explosion and fire followed the collision. Mrs. Wilson, who formerly lived in Kansas, had been living in Tulsa under the care of a son who died in June.

Mrs. Wilson was born May 11,1906.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Fillmore Wilson.

Her survivors. include a sister, Fern Price, Bristow, Okla.; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Mrs. Cottle was born March 11, 1929, in Bristow, Okla. She lived in Kansas before she moved to North Richland Hills in 1977.

She was married to Joe Irvin Cottle, who was a colonel in the Air Force before he retired. They formerly lived in Topeka. He died April 19,1997.

A nephew and two nieces survive.

Graveside services for Mrs. Wilson will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery in Beloit. Graveside services for Mrs. Cottle will follow at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Rossville Cemetery in Rossville. Relatives and friends will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Biggers Funeral Home in Fort Worth.
