IRVIN BLAINE WILT
Irvin B. Wilt was born August 4, 1879, at Rossville, Kansas, and died at his home here November 7, 1957, at the age of 78 years.

The son of Daniel and Melinda Wilt, he was the youngest of nine children. Of the family, Mrs. Fannie Reser, of Topeka is the only surviving member.

He was married October 8, 1902, to 4nna Swearingen of Rossville at Kansas City. To this union three children were born. They are Clara Flory of Wichita, Roy R. Wilt of Rossville, and Earl B. Wilt of Concordia. Eight grandchildren also survive.

Mr. Wilt conducted a plumbing and heating shop in Rossville in his early business life. In 1923 he went to work in the Water Service Department of the Union Pacific Railroad. He took his retirement from the railroad April 9, 1951.

He was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Masonic Lodge of Rossville.

Funeral services were at 2:30 pm Sunday at the Rossville Presbyterian Church with burial in Rossville Cemetery. Hurley Funeral Home of Rossville was in charge of arrangements.
