Ira A. Wood
Ira A. Wood, 87,1433 N. Central, died
Saturday in a Topeka convalescent center where he had been a resident about 18 months.
He was born Dec. 14, 1890, in Silver
Lake and spent most of his life in Shawnee and Jackson counties. He had been a farmer and had worked at the Morrell packing plant and at the Topeka Supply Depot.
He was a member of Northland Christian Church, Aerie No. 58 of the Eagles Lodge, and the IOOF Lodge.
He was married to Floy E. Murrow
April 6,1915, near Delia. She survives.
Other survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Garnett Lutz and Mrs. Marjorie Cashier, both of Silver Lake, Mrs. Terry Jones, Wichita, Mrs. Vicki Foster, Olathe, Mrs. Sally Smith, Topeka, and Mrs. Eva Gonzales, Tampa, Fla.; a son, Stephen Wood, 3039 Lower Silver Lake Road; a sister, Mrs. Clara Mack, Los Angeles; a brother, Byron Wood, Denver; 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and a great-great- grandson.
Parker-Price Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Delia Cemetery in Jackson County.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Parker-Price Mortuary for Ira A. Wood, 87, 1433 N. Central, who died Saturday in a Topeka convalescent center where he had been about 18 months.
Burial will be in Delia Cemetery in Jackson County. Mr. Wood will lie in state at the mortuary until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
