Obituary- Bruce, Mabel

ROSSVILLE -- Mrs. Mabel B. Bruce, 88, Rossville, died Thursday, Dec. 29, at a Rossville nursing home. Mrs. Bruce had been Kansas Power and Light Co., office manager at Rossville for 25 years.

She was born Dec. 2, 1895 at Rossville, the daughter of Frank N. and Anna Mary Wilt Binns, and spent her life in Rossville.

Mrs. Bruce was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Rossville. She was married to George Eversole in 1920. He died in 1927. A daughter, Geraldine Mae Eversole, died in infancy.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Michie, Westchester, Ill., and Mrs. Eileen Fances Furr, Greenville, S.C.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.
