Mrs. Michael Gudenkauf
Simecka-Gudenkauf Vows
Sheryl Ann Simecka and W. Michael Gudenkauf were married at 12:30 p.m. August 19 in the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael Klein officiated, and candlelighters were Darrel Gudenkauf and Bennie Simecka.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben J. Simecka, Delia, are parents of the bride and Mr. Gudenkauf is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Gudenkauf.
The bride wore an organza gown with Empire bodice of Venice lace. The upper part of the Medici sleeves were of matching lace. The floor- length skirt, made with side and back gathers, extended into a short train. Her long mantilla was bordered with
Venice lace, and she carried a bouquet of yellow daisies, white carnations and baby’s breath.
Shelly McClain, Rossville, was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Michelle Simecka, Delia, and Jennifer Comstock, Belleville, Nebras-ka. Flower girls were Pat Besler and Pam Besler. Larry Gudenkauf served as ring bearer.
Richard O’Conner was best man and groomsmen were Bill Comstock, Belleville, Nebraska, and Steve Gudenkauf. Guests were seated by David Simecka, Delia, and Dennis Davis.
A reception and dance were given at Holiday Inn Downtown.
Since their return from a wedding trip to St. Louis, the couple is living in Topeka.
Mrs. Gudenkauf is a graduate of Rossville High School and is employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. Mr. Gudenkauf was graduated from Hayden High School and attended Washburn University. He is a member of the U. S. Army Reserve and is employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Co.
