Obituary- Carrell, Leslie

Services were at 1 p.m. Monday at Cowan-Edwards-Yorgensen Funeral Home, Manhattan, for Leslie Ambrose Carrell, 78, Manhattan, who died Thursday, Feburary 20, 1986 at his home. Mr. Carrell had worked for CK Processing, a Gooch Feeds dehydrating plant, at Manhattan.
He was born April 9, 1907, at Hominy, Okla. territory, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Carrell. He lived most of his life in Manhattan.
He was married to Thelma Lemon February 26, 1933, at Manhattan. She died October 30, 1982. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Niemeier, Manhattan; two sons, Frederic Carrell, Medical Lake, Wash., and Larry D. Carrrell, Wichita; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Menkens, Goff, and Mrs. Lula Webb, Salina; a brother, Clayton Carrell, Rossville; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Sunrise Cemetery, southwest of Manhattan. The family met with friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
