Startup-Thompson marriage solemnized in Colorado
Miss Jeaneen Startup, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Averill Startup of Aspen, Colo., was united in marriage to Lyman Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Thompson of Carbondale, Colorado.

The wedding was held in the Aspen Community Church Sunday, February 18, with the Rev. Keith Merriman officiating.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was dressed in a ballerina-length dress of white lace over taffeta with scalloped neckline and long pointed sleeves. Her finger tip veil was topped with a crown of mother of pearls. Her bridal bouquet was of baby yellow roses and white mums.

The matron of honor was Sharon Kelly who wore a dress of yellow chiffon over yellow taffeta. Bridesmaids were Carole McEachern and Lavon Ethridge who wore yellow silk dresses.

LeRone Thompson was best man for his brother. Ushers were Tim Hoffman and Paul Olsen.

The bride's mother wore a blue acetate crepe dress with a corsage of yellow baby roses. The groom's mother wore a beige knit suit with a corsage of yellow roses.

A reception was held in the Community Church basement.

Mrs. Thompson is a graduate of Aspen High School and Mr. Thompson is a 1960 graduate of Colorado State University. He is in the ranching business.

After a honeymoon to Old Mexico, the couple will be at home in Carbondale, Colo.

The bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Besta, went by train to attend the wedding, accompanied by the bride's aunt, Mrs. Homer Colter.
