Diana Kathleen Petro and Warren Reese Wilbanks were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 2 in Most Pure Heart of Mary Church. The Rev. Joe Lopez officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard T. Petro; and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Wilbanks, Houston, Texas.

Attending the bride were Polly Petro, and Amelia Evans; Diana Evans, Lecompton; Angie Kolb and Susan Jones, Austin, Texas. Attending the bridegroom were James Wilbanks, Houston; Robin Deal, Austin, Texas; John Litfin, Jeff Litfin and Lance Galloway.

The bride is a graduate of Topeka West High School and Emporia State University with a degree in foreign language. She studied Latin American economics at the University of New Mexico. The bridegroom graduated from C.E. King High School and Blinn College with a degree in biology. He is employed by the Department of Public Safety, Austin, Texas.

After a honeymoon trip to Mazatlan, Mexico, the couple will reside in Austin, Texas.
