Obituary- Carrell, Thelma

Mrs. Thelma Carrell, 68, Manhattan, died Saturday, October 30, 1982 at her home. She was born August 23, 1914 at Rossville, the daughter of Cecil and Anna Lee Lemon. She spent most of her life in the Manhattan community.
Mrs. Carrell was a cook at Memorial Hospital in Manhattan and a member of Ladies Auxiliary to Lee Peierson Post No. 1786, also Manhattan.
She married Leslie Carrell February 26, 1933, at Manhattan. He survives
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Murphy, Manhattan; two sons, Fred Carrell, Spokane, Wash., and Larry Carrell, Wichita; two sisters, Mrs. Anita VandeVelde, St. Marys, and Mrs. Dorothy McConald, Gravois Mills, Mo.; four brothers, Clyde Lemon, Des Moines, Iowa, Donald Lemon, Dubuque, Iowa, Harold Lemon, Topeka, and Virgil Lemon, Rossville; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cowan-Edwards-Yorgensen Funeral Home in Manhattan. Burial will be in Sunrisee Cemetery, Manhattan. The family met with friends from 7 to 8:30 pm. Monday at the funeral home where memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
