WELL ACCIDENT

Topeka, Kansas, June 19 - At Rossville sixteen miles west of here, Grant McCoy, while being lowered into a well yesterday afternoon was overcome by foul air when ten feet below the surface and fell from the bucket to the bottom a distance of fifty-five feet, and was killed instantly. Up to a late hour his body had not been taken out, owing to the fears of the neighbors of the dangerous condition of the air. He was a popular young man and had been married but six months.
