Mr. and Mrs. John A. Townsend of South San Francisco, California, are the proud parents of a baby son, Jon Alden, born Thanksgiving Eve at 8 in Mills Hospital at San Mateo, Calif. "He weighed in at 8 1/2 pounds, mother and son doing fine, father improving," it is reported. Grandparents are Homer W. Throne, San Francisco, and the late Mr. and Mrs. G.L. (Dode) Townsend of Rossville and Wamego.
