William "Pete" Besta

William "Pete" Besta, 60, 1105 Lawrence, was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital Wednesday. Authorities said Mr. Besta was pinned under an automobile he was working on at his home.

He was born Jan. 14, 1912, at Rossville and had lived in Topeka since 1940. Mr. Besta worked in the Santa Fe Shops.

Survivors include his widow, Frances Dinkle Besta, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Cheryl Munoz, 1705 Lott, and Mrs. Ruth Long, 1124 Jewell; a sister, Mrs. Lottie Stum, Rossville; a brother, Albert Besta, Wamego; and six grandchildren.

Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
