Obituary- Cless, Clarence

CLINT CLESS DEAD

Clarence Clint Cless, age 46 years, one month, and 21 days, passed away Thursday, January 26, 1928, at the home of his brother, A. A. Cless, following a lingering illness. He has made his home with his brother several weeks, and had the care of Mr. and Mrs. Cless.

(Pete) as he was more commonly known was born in Rossville township on November 28, 1881, and spent his entire life here. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Cless, preceded him in death several years ago.

He is survived by five brothers; Ralph S. of Pueblo, Colo.; Will H. of Denver, Colo., Charles E. Abner A. and Walter, of this city.

He was a member of the A. O. U. W. lodge.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church, Saturday afternoon, at 2 o’clock conducted by the pastor, Rev. G. G. Horne of Topeka. A mixed quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Fink, Rev. Gordon S. Pritchett and Mrs. Peter Navarre, sang, “Speak to My Soul,” “In the Garden” and “No Night There,” Williamette Navarre accompanied at the piano.

The pall bearers were, Messrs. Robert James, Elmer Olson, A. S. Parr, E. D. Hartzell and L. P. Hartzell.

Interment was made in the Rossville cemetery.





CLINT CLESS DEAD

As we go to press this (Thursday) evening, Jan. 26, 1928, the news of the death of Clinton C. Cless, is received. He passed away at 5:30 p.m. He had been in serious condition all day. For the previous four weeks he had been failing.
