Obituary- Colter, Peggy
Colter
Little Peggy Diane Colter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Colter, was born June 27, 1933 in Leavenworth, KS., where she passed away Oct. 12, 1934 at Cushing Memorial Hospital of pneumonia, following burns from a cup of coffee which she accidently overturned on herself.
Although her life was brief she had become a favorite of everyone who knew her, as well as the light of the home.
Mr. and Mrs. Colter are well known in Rossville and Silver Lake, having spent all their lives in these communities until about four years ago when Mr. Colter received an appointment as guard in the Federal annex prison at Leavenworth.
The body was brought to Silver Lake where the funeral was held at the Methodist church, Sunday after noon at 2 o'clock. Dr. Barclay of the North Topeka Baptist Church conducted the service.
Beside the parents she is survived by two brothers and two sisters.
