Mrs. Lettie E. Compton
Mrs. Lettie E. Compton, 85, formerly of 2118 Moundview, died Monday, Nov. 4, at a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Compton and her husband farmed in the Wakarusa community before they retired in 1974 and moved to Topeka. She was born Sept. 12, 1900, at Rossville, the daughter of William W. and Isabella Reser Page.
Mrs. Compton was a member of Seabrook Congregational Church. She was married to Otis W. Compton Sept. 18, 1927, at Silver Lake. He died in February 1985.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Shirley McCoy, Dayton Ohio, and a granddaughter.
Mrs. Compton was cremated. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Mulvane Chapel at the United Methodist Home, 1135 College. Tibbitts-Griffin Highland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
