Marriage- Major, Ruth-Bennett, Glenn

MAJOR—BENNETT
Miss Ruth Major, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Major, 1234 Rural, and Mr. Glenn Bennett, of Berwyn, Ill., were married Sunday, June 16, in the Presbyterian church in Charles ton, Ill. Only a few friends and relatives were present for the ceremony Mrs. Bennett was graduated from the Teachers College in 1918 and received her degree master of arts from, the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, N. Y., in 1934. She has been, an instructor in music in the Eastern Illinois State Teachers College at Charleston for a number of years. She is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, national honorary scholarship fraternity.

Mr. Bennett attended the Eastern Illinois State Teachers college and holds both B S. and M. A. degrees from the University of Illinois. He is principal of the Emerson school in Berwyn. He is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta, sociology fraternity, and Phi Delta Kappa, education fraternity.

The couple will be in Evanston, Ill. the remainder of the summer, where Mr. Bennett is doing graduate work in Northwestern university.

Mrs. Bennett will be remembered by many Rossville people, having visited here while her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Major were on the Rossville high school faculty, the former as superintendent and Mrs. Major as music instructor.
