Marriage- McLain, LauRay-Crosswhite, Darrell 2

The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother. She wore a gown of white Qiana knit trimmed with Venice lace overlaying the bodice. The bodice featured a keyhole necldine with choker of fabric and lace. An overlay of lace trimmed the bridal point sleeves. Covered buttons accented the back of the gown from the neckline to the waist and from the sleeves to the elbow. The skirt ended in small chapel train. The bride chose a full sweep veil with matching lace trim on the edges, held in place by pink baby roses. Her bouquet was a colonial Style with white gardenias and baby’s breath, pink and burgundy roses centered with a burgundy rosebud, and loops of burgundy and white ribbon.

Following the ceremony the couple returned their love and gratitude to the bride’s parents by giving a rose boutonniere out of the bridal bouquet to the bride’s father and a long stemmed rose to the bride’s mother, as Mark Brooks sang “You Decorated My Life.” Teresa Schott, classmate of the bride, played the piano throughout the ceremony. The reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church. Beverly Wright, Sue VanVleck, Debbie Richardson, and Karla Green, served the cake and punch. The four-tiered cake was baked and decorated by Beverly Wright.

The gifts were opened by Mrs. Connie Royer, Mrs. Debbie Constant, and Miss Ronda Monhollon.

The bride’s mother wore a floor- length gown of burgundy velvet and knit, with an empire waist, bishop sleeves, scoop neckline, and velvet covered buttons at the bodice and wide cuffs. She chose a gardenia corsage to compliment her outfit. Joi McLain, Amber McLain and Vicki Lynch, sisters of the bride, passed out the rice bags.

The father of the bride, the candlelighters, ringbearer, and ushers all wore grey Windsor tuxedos with darker grey velvet lapels and vest. The jackets had cut-away fronts and slightly longer backs.

Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Theodore G. McCall, Sr., grandparents of the bride.

A wedding reception was held at the bride’s parents’ home.

The bride is a graduate of Rossville High School. The groom is a graduate of Orange Park High School, Fla. He is a Specialist E-4 at Fort Riley.

The couple is at home in Ogden.
